vinyl edition to the fania release! stock will be very limited!the project is a marriage between old and new,a fresh take on classic sounds from the fania archives.late last year, fania records hand-delivered the original multi-tracks in a battered cardboard box to joe claussells nyc studio.each track was approached and assembled differently, each on its own terms. as joe says,some songs were edited,some were time-stretched many parts were re-recorded some new parts were recorded on top.the first disc features nine classic fania tunes from lou perez, celia cruz,eddie palmieri, ray barretto and more,all re-worked with the joe claussell touch!

just a few minutes till impact. final approach, three, two, one… stephan bodzin and marc romboy aint no astronauts. they are first and foremost musicians, producers and long time friends. both would admit that arguing and talking music is as important as making it. together with their own long running imprints, systematic recordings and herzblut recordings, they have proven how to build up a distinct label sound. however, similar to some well-known astronauts, the word >luna< has a very special meaning to the musicians because its the name of marcs daughter and coincedently that of stephans wife as well. therefore it had been the obvious choice when they were looking for a fitting title name back in 2005. six years on, and the project nears its final touchdown and is honored with a an outstanding vinyl-set of six records!!! 16 different producers from all over the world take you to a musical orbit, starting in germany with moritz von oswald (basic channel, rhythm & sound), dominik eulberg, chris liebing, oliver huntemann, martin buttrich (desolat), roman flügel (dial) und robag wruhme (pampa records), continuing with speedy j (plus 8) from the netherlands, minilogue from sweden and even abe duque and brendon moeller from new york from the u.s.a.. an electronic transmission from the moon to the earth takes a little more than one second to cover the distance. but when listening to >luna<, you wont dare to think in minutes or seconds ignition sequence start, trois, deux, unité!

the original cut is an amazing deep minimal track produced by daniele petronelli, the official italian remixer of tocadisco, dr kucho, vandalism, christian fisher, spencer & hill and laidback luke, the track contain the effect of the facebooks chat plus a original female voice, is a bomb for minimal dancefloor. in the same side we find the mark ramsey remix with a perfect classic tech-house flavour with dynamic percussions, solid synthetic sounds and some voice cuts that are normally used this master of production. the first cut of the b side is mario miranda remix. this cut will rock all the dance floors around the globe with its powerful tech house sounds and rhythm. the last cut but not for that less important is the profesional remix of andrea mattioli & andrea di rocco, a perfect mix of sounds that will increase the cache of your sets with the professional sound of this two of best italian artists.

the second release of >vibes - new&rare music< brings rick wilhites long time friend and fellow 3chairs producer theo parrish to the table. theo gives us an adventurous ride like only theo can. starting out on a blues tip, this track morphs into a string laden jazz affair without missing a beat. epic stuff!
on the b-side its a one-way ride to chicago with ricardo miranda blasting on the car stereo. this relative newcomer, who has recorded for hour house is your rush and vega records, really outdoes himself on >urbanism<. as we cruise into town, heading straight to lakeshore drive, this track kicks off so soulful, yet so raw! it reminds us of the best days of prescription underground, on which this easily could have been released. addictive.

minority boss hector moralez teams up with life long friend oscar miranda for a belting 3 track ep on minority. >last of an era< has a killer bassline and a hypnotic vocal that will keep the floor moving all night. >for realz< is on the deeper tip and the boys uses spacey keys & trippy vocals to devastating effect. last but not least is >about time<. this sounds like derrick carter style beats meets a mood ii swing style bass line, nuff said. boom!

for the second installment of otp party breaks, jacques renault from runaway (rekids, dfa, im a cliche, rvng, wurst, chinatown, mule, etc) delivers four sucker punch edits that zig and zag from late-night house gems to rhythmic!

the one-two kick drum beat that starts “in the dark of the night” functions as a bit of a tease. instead of merely establishing the languid pace of the track, it has the power of suggestion, and its stark nakedness raises the question of what will happen after the music fully launches. a few seconds later, a punch-drunk, flanging keyboard is the first clue that the listener is in for an off-kilter ride, the sauntering bassline that next appears adds a springy, funk bounce. but it’s the tripped-out, multi-tracked vocals of fernando miranda rios, aka michoacan, the producer behind this slow reveal, that give the song its peculiar, space-yvibe. it’s like david byrne with funk aspirations and a vaguely cosmic feel. the b-side remix, courtesy of italy’s clap rules, feels like more of a re-build. the song has been taken apart and put back together with brand new parts. instead of more relaxed, dazed funk at the core, it’s a glittery, disco-ball splattered track with glossy keys all around.

michoacan is fernando miranda rios, a young and very talented producer from the states. he already has releases on labels such as grayhound, headinghome, lo rise and bear entertainment. his track 2 bullets was on the lektroluv elektrik planet compilation and the title track from this ep here got a spot on the new lektroluv 007. now the dr decided to offer michoacan a full vinyl release on the lektroluv label and we honnestly think it rocks! both basshead and d.s.s.g. can and will get radio airplay for sure. this is a top notch crossover production that sounds catchy without being commercial at all.situated somewhere between house, rock, disco and electro, michoacan has his own particular sound and is an artist you will certainly hear more from in the future
